On October 28, 2006 the first annual Great Strides 10k Walk for CF was held at Cherry Park in Rock Hill, SC. After 3 months of hard work and dedication by my friends and family, we managed to raise nearly $6,500 for the CFF.

In April of 2007, USA Weekend Magazine and the Make a Difference Day Foundation recognized me for my efforts with the Rock Hill Great Strides Walk.

Make a Difference Day is held on the 4th Saturday of every October to encourage volunteerism around our nation. Paul Newman and the Points of Light Foundation, as well as Good Morning America and USA Weekend Magazine, recognize the efforts of volunteers for their deeds on that day.
